Firstly…it is filthy. The floors, walls, lifts, windows, chairs and don’t get me started on the non existent toilets…old poo and pee everywhere, broken seats, basins, no water – its not locked or have signs to say its filthy and out of order…its open and disgusting…..The walls are filthy, old papers stuck randomly with masking tape, paint peeling off walls, office numbers written in black koki.
Can we not just do things with excellence and cleanliness ANC government? Perhaps people will start taking us seriously???
Perhaps if the maintenance team were given the money to clean and fix that is allocated to them instead of being defrauded a South African Children’s Court wouldn’t be the shittiest shit hole on earth????
You know when you walk in Children’s court there is that same sense of uselessness, dirty broken down system that we as citizens feel in every state governed sector…. added to that you have parents standing around wide eyed some coming off a high or deprived of their fix for their day in court, hostile couples fighting it out for custody and children not knowing if they must laugh or cry, scared children, hostile bio parents, worn out foster parents, depressed grandparents, a lawyer boasting to another how he makes R1000 on every call from his client, other lawyers who are there to fight and some who are there to console. social workers – some doing their best in a broken system and mine who didn’t have a clue. Criminals in hand cuffs and gangsters with 10 body guards. Oh and the press. All in children’s court.
Long story short, because the social worker didn’t do her job properly our case has been delayed by two months again.. It might sound like no big deal but this is not. All that was needed was the child’s ID. We have spent thousands getting everything ready so that he becomes adoptable. But no. The social worker failed to submit .
More leave we loose,
More loss of income,
A day of school lost,
More paperwork we must redo because it will be outdated
Another R200 petrol wasted and costs to get everything ready down the drain…..
Today I just feel flattened by the system that keeps failing us!
