Trauma and Anxiety

The hardest thing for me to face as a Foster mamma was that my love attention devotion and care was not a cure for my children’s anxiety.

We believe that our unconditional love and protection and provision will cure the trauma they previously endured. It was and still is devastating for me as a mamma to accept that those fight or flight patterns and fearing rejection and abandonment and even preparing for it unconsciously by acting out was so deeply engrained in their subconscious minds that I alone am not a cure for it.

That’s why is crucial to lean into the grace of God because its only the healing power of Jesus Christ, constant love, reassurance, guidance and management of emotions and expectations and THERAPY by professionals who understand the science and tools to manage anxiety and trauma that will heal anxiety and abandonment issues. For us and our incredible children. Its a process not a quick fix.

I am a mom on this journey to healing with my kids. I have lived and am living the good the bad and the ugly of foster care and adoption. Please feel free to reach out if you are ever open to offering a child a family.
